SPOTLIGHT Tour Guides of Costa Rica
Hello,
I'm Alonso, a tour guide from Costa Rica. I'm 23 years old and have 5 years of experience in tourism, where I've had the opportunity to work with people from diverse destinations and realized that this is my passion. I've led tours in many national parks in my country and offer chocolate tours, night hikes, birdwatching, and historical and cultural tours.
My passion for nature comes from my family, originally from a rural area called Valle de la Estrella, in the province of Limón. As a child, my playground was the cacao and banana plantations, and the rivers surrounded by stunning rainforests. Growing up, I felt the need to share these dreamlike places with others, and that's what brings me here now.
I specialize in nature tours where I can showcase the wonders of my country, such as sloths, monkeys, snakes, birds, and the wide variety of plants. We can also enrich our knowledge by learning about the history and culture that abound in our beloved Costa Rican Caribbean. As a fully certified guide, you can rest assured that you'll enjoy the experiences planned according to your preferences.
As we build our new programs in Costa Rica we will be teaming up with the people who make this culture so special. I met Alonso and was instantly impressed his knowledge, warmth, and enthusiasm!
